Wendy Learmonth

Royal Wootton Bassett Rehab & Sports Clinic is headed by graduate sports therapist Wendy Learmonth.

Wendy graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2013 with a degree in BSc Honours Sports Therapy.

Since opening the clinic she has expanded her clinical knowledge and skills by treating clients of all ages and backgrounds, from young athletes to active older generations.

To complement her clinical experience, Wendy has worked closely with several sports clubs in Swindon. This has included providing pitchside support for Swindon College Old Boys rugby team, Swindon Wildcats and the Wilts & Glos Police Rugby squads.

Wendy provides support at Royal Wootton Bassett RFC, providing pitchside treatment on a matchday, as well as managing long-term player injuries in the clinic. Regular services here include care of injuries, player rehabilitation, treatment of soft tissue damage, massage and mobilisations.

Wendy is a keen runner and tennis player and enjoys weight training at the gym, all of which provides a good understanding of how frustrating injuries can be to the mature athlete.

Megan Lawley

Working alongside Wendy is Megan, a graduate of Hartpury University, with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Sports Therapy. 

Megan has always had an interest in a wide range of sports, with a growing interest in rugby since her time at universit where she learned the importance of a hands-on approach to assessment and treatment.

She is keen to help people improve from injury and manage pain, with empathy, care and through patient education.

In her personal time, Megan enjoys riding horses and was able to explore this passion with sports therapy while carrying out her dissertation, which was based on core strength in relation to lower back pain within the horse-riding community.

During her time at Hartpury, Megan worked within a number of sports at a range of levels, including football, golf, and rugby. This experience helped her develop a well-rounded view of the challenges and barriers people face during their recovery while competing in sport at various levels.

Hannah Kibble

Since completing my degree at Hartpury University undertaking sports therapy I have learnt many skills and techniques from communication to hands on therapy.

I pride myself in making clients feel comfortable and building a good therapist to Patient relationship. I take great pride in seeing patients progress through their injuries week by week allowing them to return back to full fitness.

Throughout my childhood I taken part in many different sports from swimming which lead me on to swim for Gloucestershire county and the south west. I have an interest in horse riding as having done this from when I was younger. I have played rugby from the age of 11 starting off at my local club and processed on to play for Gloucestershire county, Hartpury college/ university which I won 2 BUCS super rugby finals which allowed me to play for Gloucester hartpury and gain experience in the England U20s squad.

Alongside my sporting activities I attend the gym regularly and have also participated in a local strong women competition With my wide range of sporting knowledge and therapy skills I am looking forward to working at RWB clinic providing the best care for any injuries that may be affecting you in your day to day life.
